Have you noticed your feline is constantly shedding her fur? This prevents dead parts of her coat causing skin irritation so she can always look her best! Moulting varies between breeds and depends on whether your cat lives inside or outside. It is influenced by the amount of daylight, or ‘photoperiod’, so you will notice it more twice a year, with seasonal changes.
Cats love to groom themselves, but if they ingest too much fur this may lead to hairballs, which could become a gastrointestinal nightmare if your furry friend doesn’t fully get rid of them. However, older felines may struggle to stay on top of their beauty regime, especially in those hard-to-reach places. Which is why it is great to give them a hand with a daily comb-through. This also helps to keep matts and knots away, lets you check for potential skin problems before they become serious, and is a great bonding experience!
If you ever have any questions about how to take care of your perfect puss between grooms, just ask one of the team and we will be delighted to advise. ❤
