Getting Purrsonal – Ageing Gracefully
By Tania Marie de Saram
Cats hide their pain well, but by the age of 12 most of them may struggle with joint problems, just as we do when we get older. The symptoms are much the same, with your feline decreasing in activity and generally slowing down, perhaps grumbling when you handle certain areas.
Tequila is nearly 13 years old and enjoys a cosy bed that is easy to climb into, a gentle massage and help with grooming hard-to-reach parts of her body, and a supplement with glucosamine and chondroitin sulphate. Along with regular check-ups at the vet to make sure that arthritis isn’t getting her down too much. ❤
